Tim Boulton's Philadelphia 32mm gauge with full Stephenson's valve gear.  Only the frames, wheel blanks, smokebox door and modified cylinders came from Argyle Locomotive Works.   The rest was fabricated by Tim in the quest for even greater fidelity to the prototype drawings.

Pressed into revenue service before the paintshop could get to her, Tim Boulton's Philadelphia was eventually painted green as shown.

John Causer's Bantam has subsequently undergone quite a metamorhasis since first appearing in its blue livery.  Here it is seen with wooden cab, balloon stack based on the Philadelphia drawings, front and rear lamps, revised drag beam and trailing pony axle with 16mm wheelset.  This loco now has radio control fully enclosed within the cab utilising a sub miniature receiver / servo and powered by a two hour Ni-Cad pack.   All this R / C gear is mounted on a single plate retained by one screw.  The bunker lifts off for access.
