Roundhouse Billy - Purchased from Argyle in 2004, this is a great running engine and super reliable (Well it is a Roundhouse after all) There is a small blemish on the boiler between the first and second bands as a result of a derailment some years ago. I have photographed the engine from that side so you can see it. Otherwise the engine is in very good condition. The lining is tape and can be easily removed if required.

Accucraft Excelsior. This engine was Accucraft’s first try at a British outline and it would be fair to say there are a few areas where they have improved since. Its burner is loud and can be erratic at times and the small cylinder size means it needs a good dose of throttle to get up a rise and then tends to bolt once it is over it. But it is a cute engine and with patience, a few carriages on behind and a track with wide curves it is a lot of fun to run. The lining is just tape and can be removed if required. Remove the cab and put on a taller chimney and it could form the basis of a nice 7/8ths conversion.

Purchased from Argyle Locomotive works in August 2004, this could pass for Puffing Billy's little brother but is in fact an Accurcraft 16mm scale model of the Lynton & Barnstaple Baldwin, built in 1898 but modelled as running in 1929.
The model features spoked driving wheels, a bar frame style chassis, gas firing, a water level gauge, fill valve, pressure gauge and lubricator. Manufacture claims it can run on a minimum track radius of 3 foot and it has spent its life so far running happily on a track with 4 foot radius curves.
Model is in very good condition. Only significant defect is a missing brake hose on the rear of the engine. These early Lyn's had a tendency to prime and splutter but this can be addressed by taking particular care to ensure it is not overfilled before running. It has a Gordon Watson fitted steam brake to enhance its slow running capabilities.
Offered at less than half current new price.
