Gauge One Steam Locomotive Engineers

Since 1992 Argyle Locomotive Works have been specialist builders of live steam locomotives for Gauge 1 (45mm) in the narrow gauge scales of 1:20.3 & 1:19 & 7/8" / ft as well as standard gauge scales of 1:32 & 10mm / ft.  In that time over 1,200 steam locomotives have been produced in a mix of production and bespoke locomotives.

The locomotive build order book has been full for some time and no knew orders can be taken.  However, a small range of Argyle developed detail parts for locomotives and wagons continues to be available.

Argyle is a retailer of a number of overseas suppliers of small scale live steam locomotives, rolling stock and track such as Aster, Roundhouse, Accucraft and Sunset Valley. 

ASTER
The Aster range comprises ready built and assembly kits for live steam locomotives of famous prototypes from the glorious age of steam.  They assemble into very high quality models of superb appearance with a performance on the track to match. We are the importer & distributor of these fine models for the Asia / Oceania region.

Argyle offers sales and service of the fine Accucraft  models in Australia.

ROUNDHOUSE
Argyle stocks Roundhouse ready to run models, assembly kits and spare parts and carries out repairs if required.

SUNSET VALLEY
Argyle stocks and supplies the full Sunset Valley range of 45mm and 32mm gauge track products.
