ASTER NEWS
Two New Models
-
BR Standard Class 5
4-6-0 in black or green livery. This is a high spec
build with piston valves, drain cocks, etc in a
compact and powerful locomotive. Price estimate
A$6,000 (Subject to exchange rate)

Union Pacific Challenger
4-6-6-4 High Speed fast freight and passenger power in
articulated form. Black and two tone grey delivery as
UP3985. For this model, Aster will be asking for firm
reservations and livery choice before production commitment.
Price estimate - similar to NSWR AD60 i.e. A$15,000
(Subject to variances)

have all been announced for production:

Canadian Pacific Royal Hudson 4-6-4
as running on the British Columbia Rly. Live steam gas or
meths firing

SP narrow gauge 4-6-0 (Owens Valley)

2 truck Climax with Walschaerts Valve Gear

DSP&P 2-8-0 #191 with Condon stack, early boiler fittings, etc

Mason Bogie 2-6-6 DSP&P "Tenmile" and "San Juan" - two liveries

East Broad Top 2-8-2 #12
Reservations are now being accepted
for any of these fine models with delivery probably in the nine to
twelve month time frame.
Roundhouse
Deliveries of the Classic series are now about 6-7 months from the
factory. We have models coming forward for stock every month
but an early enquiry will help secure the model you want. Check out the links on our

New Parts Available
Argyle has added to its loco builders
parts range with a number of beautifully detailed lost wax castings
of parts in use on NSW steam locomotives. See the
Detail Parts
page.
Track
Sunset Valley
This fine track system is also now being stocked by Argyle.
Narrow gauge flex track is available in 32mm, 45mm and dual gauge.
The rail is code 250 and will join to the Accucraft code 250 track. Turnouts are
available from 3 foot to 21 foot radius. The smaller radius
turnouts are insulated at the frog while the larger radius have lost
wax cast frogs. Details can be seen on our
